https://twitter.com/Popehat/status/1138457330067156992 … Here's the thing: There does not appear to be a clear, hard and fast line between "Some randoms who don't matter are saying mean things about you." and "Thousands of people around you are ready to be complicit in your mass murder."

And if they hate you based on things you have no control over, doesn't it over time reinforce those aspects of your identity?

Just to make sure we're on the same page, I'll give an exmpl. Do you mean if they hate me cos I'm a woman, cos they are misogynist, it will make me feel like more a woman or will make me more like the stereotype they think I am? So will I feel more my meaning of woman or theirs?

Weird how women, poc, queers the disabled etc all get all this hate from society and dont turn into nazis and yet for some reason white cis dudes think this is an excuse?
