(If you say Mac, that's OK. But I've had two over the past few years and they are pretty but coding on them is a bit wild since I'm used to Linux. They are nice though, I'm just not a Mac person.)

I just went through this and I can send you my shopping spreadsheet. If you rank some of these factors I can suggest a few models: weight, battery life, computation power, screen size.
-
Please send me your ideas!

Ooohhhh. The agony of choice. I think we have very different personalities. This actually bathes me in anxiety.

-
Haha, no worries. Like I said, happy to narrow it down as you figure out more of your shopping parameters. I hate choices too, my final version of this had most of the rows hidden once I narrowed down my criteria.
-
And the last third of the entries are mostly me searching for a better deal once I had mostly decided on what became my actual purchase

-
Got you! And thank you!

Not sure if cute, but Lenovo X240 (or whatever is the current version, numbers go up) is definitely solid and great battery life
-
How long have you had yours?
-
4 years, but I'm not using it a lot now because of my work laptop
-
Oh, that's a good amount of time.

my husband used to have a Zareason laptop for his programming work! Only thing that killed it was when he tried to yank out the HDD without the proper tools rofl
-
wait what
-
I think it was that he couldn't find the charger and had a masters paper due like the next day so he went a little bananas rofl
-
Oh, yeah. That actually is totally correct. *nodding*

Second the Dell XPS suggestion. Mine runs windows, but the hardware is gorgeous & its certified or whatever for Linux. Get the 4K screen!!
-
Does the physical casing look cute?

-
If you get a Dell, get the developer edition though! They changed some hardware to increase compatibility (such as the wifi card, I think).
