The law changed in 1999 (from being purely patrilineal decent) and I finally got Cypriot (Republic) citizenship late last year/early this year. So I think what you want to know is where am I from? South.

By fought though, I mean I waited 10 years and then asked nicely. Others went to courts and won landmark cases for me.
