I was actually being serious. I missed the shirt as I was scrolling through and the position of the face really did look like a baboon. It was a good reminder how close we actually are to other primates in appearance (and how poorly trained my ventral visual cortex is)

Also the reason I dislike Pinker is he writes far beyond his training and expertise. Chomsky did the same thing. It’s like if I suddenly decided to write a book about 18th century migration patterns. Apparently a degree in Cognitive Science is all one needs to write ANYTHING
