Rule 1: Selectivity. As in all aspects of scientific life, this one word should be your lodestar. Stay. On. Message. This is not a conversation, it is about putting your brand in front of the right people at the right time.

Rule 2: Master Your Domain. Your Alpha Index is your tweet:reply ratio. Each time you engage as if the footing were equal, you are letting someone else drive the conversation. An exception is the "quote reply", used to dangle the hapless and misinformed for demonstrative purpose.
