      At the risk of being *that person* it’s not Unity in the photo, it’s Gnome 3. Ubuntu abandoned Unity in 18.04. You can customise it a lot if you install gnome-tweaks and gnome shell extension package from the package manager.

      Ok, that was definitely a dark time 😂😂😂 Modern KDE has become its own thing though. I'd say it is probably halfway between windows 10 and macOS at this point. You can configure it to look a lot more like either as you see fit

      😂😂😂 I believe they call that "branding" these days. Plus didn't gnome have everything starting with G for a while? It does feel like they are trying to get away from that now, but the weight of legacy means it will take a while
