Really, REALLY don't feel like citing a paper that was last authored by someone who was once really rude and condescending to me at a conference

I've had a prof come up to my once, then ask my advisor "what's her research on". Advisor said I could give a good summary myself

-
I think my worst was when someone wanted to catch up after my talk because they had a question for me. Question was “where is your accent from?”. Eww.
-
I get this all the time. Why do you speak Dutch so well? Where are you really from? Etc
-
I get this a lot too but it was just the ruthlessness of telling me they wanted to talk to me after my talk and then not actually having any interest in my work
-
I tend to forget the sequences, just the things people ask. Also "but an expert in machine learning wouldn't do this" while I was already faculty. I said "I'm an expert and I just did"

Amazing comeback. Sorry for us all.
