Fwiw, I think the enneagram is only one aspect of personality: how we have learnt to cope with trauma shapes us. At least, that is the underlying idea. It is different from other personality aspects like extraversion vs intraversion, eg.
-
Also, I believe it is a dynamic system, trying to explain how different types can grow and change, and what pitfalls are, strengths and weaknesses. It is a system to help ‘heal’ I think. Not to classify per se.

But I still feel the need to say that classic introversion, if I understand correctly, doesn't capture me even tho I would say I'm introverted. I love being around ppl when I like them, but can't stand being around ppl when I don't. And the latter takes me days-years to get over.

That it probably trauma. Your body's way of keeping you safe because of situations you have been in before where you weren't.
-
Yes. I have trauma. Most people cry when I tell them about it.
-
My mum is a survivor. It does not scare me.
-
I am a survivor too. Yeah, I made a policeman cry too. Pretty classic if you share as so few do/can so it's extra shocking to hear things in explicit language.

I like sharing my medical file, tell people to scroll down. Best summary I can give. "29 year old woman, looks put together, depressive symptoms. Was sexually approached by a friend of the parents at a young age. Parents continued the relationship after she told them about it"
