Cats are obligate carnivores. You are doing them harm if you don't give them meat based proteins. Actual, demonstrible harm. Please, if your are morally opposed to other creatures eating meat, don't get a cat. Get a bunny. https://twitter.com/VERYINTERESTlNG/status/1119019629945544704 …

Come on. We HAVE the information and technology. Just because they aren’t fed meat doesn’t mean they aren’t getting the nutrients. And they run to the salami because they’re pigs. Not because they are hungry.

No, they mean *at all*. No food with meat in, no cat food. Not "oh no they aren't feeding the cats chicken breast or marinated steak" but "literally they are going to make their cats sick or die in the pursuit of veganism"

It used to be impossible in the past but science and veterinary expertise says it's possible to feed a cat a vegan diet. See video with experts and information:https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-46390867/animal-welfare-is-it-safe-for-cats-to-be-vegan …

That food she's using doesn't have arginine or ornithine in it. It must have something, because her cat isn't dead, but I don't know what it is. Idk, the research isn't there to back this sort of feeding regimen up, and I wouldn't want to use my pet as a test subject.
