My heart is slightly sinking at the emerging shape of the May-Corbyn Brexit (as it is likely to become known). i) Labour will get the blame for a process which the Tories cocked up. ii) The Tories will not stick to any concessions once they have a new leader...

... iii) this isn't the deal that anyone voted for, half the leave advocates in the house of commons don't like it for example. It needs further democratic support - an election or referendum (which Labour should insist on)...

... any election (which is surely long overdue) would effectively wipe the slate clean and the winning team will only feel obliged to meet manifesto commitments on brexit.

I think we need, but may not get, further deeper political reorganization. So far, Labour could get away unscathed from the wreckage of brexit (whatever form it takes), and offer a much needed alternative to the shattered Tories.

All I can think of is why is the news so bad. I don't want to read it. Just gonna focus on the fact there is a Spurs game tonight and I live at Seven Sisters.
