Oh, wow, they did a piece on this. "A strip of land bordered by barbed wire fences divides Cyprus in two, but people there are using a building inside the buffer zone as a place to reunite."https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/stories-47572743/the-people-trying-to-reunite-a-divided-island …

And I heard a brief (~5 minutes) piece on Cyprus, on BBC radio 4 on my way from Glasgow to Lancaster.

It had interviews with Greek and Turkish Cypriots and a bit of "can this division be resolved?" punditry. TBH, since I hadn't slept for 24 hours because en route from Canada, I don't recall much detail.

I looked for it online but didn't see it, it was part of a news magazine type program. But I did find this. (Haven't listened myself yet - limited, metered bandwidth)https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/b042jn7d …

At least the presenter is calling the racism what it is. The guy Sepos, who I sadly know of, says "The only good Turk is a sleeping Turk" and while that is HELLA racist, it made me realise I would like to be asleep (migraine).
Gotta laugh cause otherwise I'd be crying.
