One of my biggest sources of writer's block is I am so worried about being a terrible writer. My grammar isn't at native level, sometimes my sentences are long and awkwardly structured. I am entirely blind to it but other people comment on it. Should I pay to get it proofread?

But doesn't you being able to write well in Finnish correlate with being taught how to write well in Finnish at school? I mean it's not like just speaking it made you write well, right?

Tbh though Greek and English have opposite definitions of what academic writing should look like. In Greek, large and complex sentences with a lot of jargon are considered intellectually superior, whereas the opposite is true in English
