Just add: "formal theory development relying mainly on abductive inference" down the bottom and I think you're pretty good.

The reason in needs to be said is because I have seen some pretty bizarre stuff — mainly on Twitter — that made me go WTF. I get that non-modellers don't know what we do, and that's actually fine, but they need to let us explain our work more IMHO.

Well I think it's good that you're speaking out about it. Personally, the part of all these discussions re reproducibility that I've enjoyed the most, since getting into this in 2013, is how it's widened my understanding of how different sciences work & what different fields need

I often feel like my discussions with you are going in a useful direction, vs sometimes it just seems like a merry go round in other groups, so thanks for being open minded.

Likewise, thanks man. I've learned an absolute TON on here -- more than I can even begin to summarise -- talking to people that I have no shame in admitting are a damn sight smarter & more knowledgeable than I am. And I'm trying as much as poss to turn that to something of use.

FWIW I am really excited to listen to the talks from
#OpenScienceIMC. Will be a fun and I am sure enlightening experience. And, yes, I have to say I am always pleasantly surprised when these discussions go/end well as I have been in some absolutely pointless ones. -
I'm thinking I should probably delete my account now and go out on a high.

First I have to watch the completion of the slow motion brexit train wreck and I need twitter for that. Can't. Stop. Watching.
