This helped shape my idea of what jobs are out there in psychology and what other labs (regardless of topics of research) look like in terms of projects and roles. I decided to stay (at least for now) because I knew others labs had different dynamics, closer to what I wanted.

I'm trying to think if anybody told me: "You can't make it" — I can certainly remember during my PhD interview one of the profs asking if I will be able to cope with my friends doing cocaine (WTF) while I will have to do research.
