When I was in primary school I obsessively watched all the Blackadders (bar series one of course and esp. loved the II) on repeat so much I could mouth the words along with the actors for every episode. I totally wanted to be him when I grew up. 🤭https://twitter.com/KEBrightbill/status/1098106429628694528 …

Ditto on knowing all the words! Except we didn’t have a tv so I listened to them all on cassette. Seriously...

You listened just to the audio on cassette? I had the VHS and watched like a few epidosdes per day for years. 🤣

Yup! They were official BBC cassettes, literally just the audio. I would listen to them as I was falling asleep...

I can see it working since it's so dialogue oriented. Oh, that reminds me... I used to listen to audio books mostly Roald Dahl (of books I'd already read) when I had migraine & was bored of being in pain. I had a My First Sony. Those cassette players were so robust. And so red.

When I was younger I used to repeatedly listen to something about a bear called tough ted who was a sailor...no idea where that came from...On a flat brown (alba?) cassette recorder

You can buy the book still! But with all such things there is always the worry you will be disappointed. I still would though.
