When I was in primary school I obsessively watched all the Blackadders (bar series one of course and esp. loved the II) on repeat so much I could mouth the words along with the actors for every episode.

Yup! They were official BBC cassettes, literally just the audio. I would listen to them as I was falling asleep...

I can see it working since it's so dialogue oriented. Oh, that reminds me... I used to listen to audio books mostly Roald Dahl (of books I'd already read) when I had migraine & was bored of being in pain. I had a My First Sony. Those cassette players were so robust. And so red.
