I guess a lot of these scientific challenges are longstanding and a lot of people have grappled with them over time, but the current discussion seems fairly dominated by a small group that is ridiculously interconnected and self-referring that it can be an echo chamber.

But I think blanket statements about a complex function/environment like twitter, which has undoubtedly played a very positive role in many respects, is pointless. Important points can be made briefly, or in threads, just not always.

Sensible! There are some comments at the end of the blog where twitter can (and does) serve useful and positive functions.
