Would depend on how they hurt you, what the event is, how big it is and what are the odds of bumping into that person?

Ex from 10 year relationship, led double life with child for 2+ years, in retrospect was an emotionally abusive relationship. Event is a big festival so chances are low but I think he owes me so I'd rather reduce them to zero

Sweet baby Jesus on a pogo stick. I am tempted to say don't go. Took me years to get over an emotionally abusive relationship that woukd seem mild in comparison to that, so if you don't feel confident going, avoiding triggers might be good.
