do any of you know of TERFs in continental Europe and elsewhere in the world outside the UK/US? I am somewhat familiar with Germany/Belgium/Netherlands and don't know of any TERFism there, so am curious if it is really an exclusively Anglo-American phenomenon

if it really is mostly exclusive to the US/UK, and mostly the latter, it does invite a serious historical analysis to figure out why. I'm guessing it has something to do with Victorian gender-roles being particularly rigid and deeply inculcated. Foucault may be useful here?

Colonialism... probably it exists only in White colonial countries...

Not that a single example proves/disproves anything, but The Netherlands has a pretty serious history of colonialism. I agree that colonialism probably doesn't make the problem any better tho.

You mean it has a history of colonialism but doesn't have TERFs? I didn't know that.

I know the OP says something along those lines too, but I am not sure — are you/we sure that TERFism in NE is not a thing?

Oh I am totally unqualified to say whether it is a thing in the Netherlands.

Also realized my statement "colonialism doesn't make the problem better" could imply it does have the problem. I meant "colonialism wouldn't make the problem better [in places that have the problem]"
