Any labs that have done this and have experience/protocols to share would be great. Perhaps @mcxfrank @ProfData and others might have thoughts? I'd especially like to hear how you might deal with data that might be private. @o_guest and other heavy github users as well?https://twitter.com/samhforbes/status/1086314776769236992 …

Probably this is worth looking into too — and more up-to-date: https://help.github.com/articles/differences-between-user-and-organization-accounts/ …

Yes, been looking through this. I was hoping someone might have advice on how they manage who has access to what kind of data etc - it seems complex
-
Additionally, is your GitHub tutorial still live? It might be about to get some heavy use :p

Oh, yeah. It's here. Very quick tutorial though on git and github. Eventually you'll need more!http://neuroplausible.com/github

No, organizations are free, as long as their repositories are public. Which is the case for
@ReScienceEds . -
What I don’t know is if paying members can form an organization to share private repositories. But I’d go for an institutional
@gitlab instance in that case, in order to know where my confidential data is stored. -
Ah, that's really helpful advice, many thanks!
