Those who prefer end of text are masochists and should be ashamedhttps://twitter.com/R__INDEX/status/1086264012311019521 …

I do it when the figures are indeed at the end of the text but it's still uncomfortable. Just give me the information when and where I need it damn it
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

So yeah, please put the figures in the text. Journals make me cry when they ask for figures at end and double spacing. Ugly.
-
Agreed on both points. I hate writing in double space because it makes it more difficult for me to visualize the bigger picture and the flow of the text. So i just end up writing in 1.15 and then transforming only prior to submission.

I've tries it multiple times and never liked it. Also, none of my collaborators use it so even if I were to have liked using it, it would make collaborating and track changes harder
-
Fair. The reason I mention it is that you change one argument to go from double to single spacing. But yeah, I'm aware it's super simple in a WYSIWYG editor too.
-
I do realize how convenient it can be for many things, and I do use it for my CV because it looks so pretty, but just prefer to not write longform in it
