The reason "bro" is such a good descriptive term is because unlike some of the other things said about the worst of #bropenscience this one sticks in a way they really don't like.
I'm for #openscience. That's why I care to criticise the frolicking brobots and their silliness.

I confess I am not sure about the convenience of open/signed reviews in the current system. Publishers are very lucrative business exploiting tradition and good will from authors and reviewers alike.

Making reviews open could exacerbate this tainted system sanctioning a devious token of gratitude in the form or “recognition”. Work will remain unpaid and unpaid workers may seek illicit satisfaction.

Changing the publication system radically to stop this unfair labour trade may be needed for a healthy open review process

I agree with this. It's very odd that core members of the OS community largely denied that there was any issue to be addressed while other folks rolled up their sleeves and had a productive conversation about how to mix open review and preprints.
