I've always been uncomfortable about open review as it is discussed on Twitter. The discussion never seems to consider ECRs' and others' less privileged voices and how to stop them being drowned out.

And what about evidence that women fare better when gender is concealed from reviewers/assessors/employers? Surprised there isn’t more discussion of reform in that direction. Open review may solve some problems but not all. No easy answers but nuanced discussion would be good.

As I say lower down, nobody wants to have this discussion.
