The saddest thing is I do all these things now even though I hate myself and the fucking British way of talking... I can't escape. I've become terrible.

It's unclear when there is little context, e.g. how did you find X? It was interesting. And with a small number it has gone meta, because we all know we use "interesting" in this way, we get even more confused

I mean if I am being rude to you via "interesting" and you point blank asked me immediately what I mean I obviously would not say (for various reasons) "I am being rude to you".

I am talking about conversations between friends who are comfortable doing that if it's personal. Usually we are commenting about something else e.g. an article, an event where it's unclear what our views are
