Also read that there does seem to be a link between women who suffer from migraines, endometriosis, PCOS, and other chronic pain but is anyone researching this? Not really. Because women’s pain is just a shrug

I honestly think this is less that doctors don’t believe women (though that’s part of it) but more that women are just sort expected to bear some level of pain throughout their lives. Double that for women of color.

One of my GPs literally said “all women have chronic pain. It’s normal.” She refused to test or treat any of my symptoms, or give me a referral to a specialist.

Noting that your GP was a woman herself, where does that leave us? Perhaps you could try another GP who might be more co-operative about referring you to a specialist.
