Why are these so many logical positivists and scientism supporters around these days? What happened? Are we re-running the 20th century but with a different random seed and the tech BS parameter set higher?

I think some ideas just can't die cause they appeal to our intuition/folk psych notions so well. I think something similar could be said for behaviorism

Also in my opinion, members of the Vienna circle wrote very clearly and accessible work, especially Carnap. I think that when someone decides to start to think about these issues, those works are very attractive.

Oh, good point. I'm not sure. It seems plausible most do not, as that would defeat the point of whatever movement they are part of. Do any identify as logical positivists even?
