Bit of background: it’s a 4th year Research Methods class I’ve recently taken over, so they’ve already (mostly) had 3 years of SPSS (hiss). Until this year there wasn’t actually any stats at all in it, so gotta take it slow.

Yeah, you might want to ease them in to R or just go ahead with a GUI. In this case I can see why (they were taught SPSS for too long).
