My twitter newsfeed is starting to get way too full, with fewer and fewer things that are actually interesting for me. Going through my "following"-list and unfollowing some people didn't really help. So my experimental solution: 1/2

I've created a new Twitter account where I follow just people who tweet about my research topic. I still plan to log into this one occasionally and I'll tweet from here (that's where my followers are), but I won't check it regularly, so if you'd like to contact me, email me. 2/2

I use both that search and the TL but it's definitely likely to be a way to actually improve your TL. The way I think this works is that Twitter wants to show you more of whom you interact with so eventually you can fix it.
