Open science should be able to call out people for behaving in less than ideal, less than professional, etc., ways. This is my/our way of doing it. I like puns. To say that cos I don't like bros in open science means I don't like it is "useful" rhetoric, but demonstrably false.

Sadly, a lot of ahistorical takes on open science seem to be emerging. That is in of itself worrying. Those who control the understanding of history/origins of communities and skew the narrative trend to do so for their own benefit.

Oh, and, it's totally fine to hate puns. TBH they can be exclusionary (e.g., to non-native speakers) in many situations, so I get it.
