Idea. Why don’t we as academics created a site like Glassdoor with ratings on open science, diversity/inclusiveness, work-life balance, salary, and other important features of academy, and then actually relate them to important outcomes?

True. But I think the current system is much more open to abuse of juniors. I think that monitoring some kind of outcome related to ratings would be crucial, and/or perhaps some kind of way to validate account without identifying person.

No disagreement that current system, esp in the US, is abusive. But you have to create a proper new system. Even if "anything is better than the current system" that doesn't mean we have to jump to something new without planning. No point changing system if it's just as bad.

A system like Glassdoor would be IMHO just as bad/worse, open to new forms of abuse without actually addressing any current forms of abuse.
