Same! It's clarified for me (again) the point that there are many different kinds of modelling, and nothing is one size-fits-all.

That's what I was thinking while reading everyone's response in this thread - so much of the initial disagreement was likely due to the fact that people here work with very different kinds of models. It definitely was a very interesting discussion.
