Maybe a better word is "shun". Although his behavior could be argued to be in violation of Twitters TOS.

I guess that leads me to question if shunning, assuming that's being done, works.

I guess it depends what you define as "works". I don't think it'll change his behavior, unfortunately. I do think going a step beyond and affirming that his actions are outside the norms of our community (this thread!) helps victims and to discourage others.

Agreed Olivia. We need to do more than ignore bullies -- they need to be called out when harassing people online, by the whole community, and especially by those in power who can afford to do so without costs.
