I think it's more they did stats and found that women drop out of STEM mostly because of family responsibilities.

Yeah because they're in straighg families with a man who doesn't take equal share (just saw a great article one twitter today linked to that)

And maybe also the man earns more money (cause pay gap) so it makes more sense for the woman to stay home. Like it’s not just working hours that drive women/caretakers out of STEM

My original point was that harassers are responsible for driving more women out of academia than the mere presence of alcohol, so I’m just gonna reiterate that that’s the point of this discussion for me
