I find some of the comments strange. E.g., more people not needing to comment. How many people needed to comment on power posing? Or justifying alphas?

They don't want or don't care to comment. Great point about power posing.

So many people comment on power posing because of the continued pop-media attention the topic attracts. It's nothing deeper than that imo. Justifying alpha? Because that broad topic affects virtually every area of science.

A million years ago I wrote critical appraisals of research on homebirth and co-sleeping, because there were topics that were at the front of my mind as a new parent - I don't remember anyone else writing about these same studies en masse.

There is a LOT in the media that is about trans people and trans kids — huge media interest over where they pee, what they do in private, etc.
