Wow, that's heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time

Greek Cypriots who have never crossed are turbo right wing.
-
Many of them yes. The situation is more nuanced once you engage in conversation, I was happy to discover. Frequently a lot of emotional baggage there. Also friends I never thought would cross have done so recently.
-
That's good to hear.

I still think those without lost property who don't cross are people I've rightfully stopped talking to.

Check out Contact Theory in International Relations. It was eye-opening when I did. I need to double check for some academic sources I have in mind. There is some fascinating literature also, meaning λογοτεχνία

-
Thank you! Is it a book?
-
nop.. it is a theory in International Relations... Wikipedia (sorry) "In criminology, psychology, and sociology, the intergroup contact theory has been described as one of the best ways to improve relations among groups that are experiencing conflict."
-
Ah, got you! I want something that says the story behind what happened with the odofragmata though specifically — like who came up with the idea, the logistics, etc. I get that contact is really good for our communities, de-other-isers the "other".
-
Am not very clear on that. Check Cyprus Mail from April 2003 perhaps?
-
I can try!
