What is it that they do to break/wreck threads?
(... If that can be answered without giving instructions on how to do so...

Replying to tweets in such a way that results in hiding tweets further down to new readers.
-
:( I really thought Twitter had fixed that at the same time they introduced the option to write a whole thread in one go, but I guess I was wrong. (I’m using a third-party phone client where threads are often borked anyway, so it’s hard to tell.)
-
If you’re tweeting from the web, that might be a good option?
-
What might be?

-
Oh to switch to web? No, it's the same.

Sorry, that wasn’t clear at all! I mean, posting a thread all at once with the “add another tweet” button, which is available on the web interface. Please excuse the daft screenshot.
I haven’t used this much so not sure how well it works.pic.twitter.com/KoFmaGK2Jn

Yes, but I mean one with give and take with others.

Accept as a byproduct. Things get messy very quickly, especially if multiple people are typing at once and end up accidentally splitting off into different threads! It is a nightmare to keep track of conversations on here...
-
Certainly there are cases where it's a race condition. There are others where it's not though.

Mute/block
People who fill a thread with their "own views" are likely full of themselves. I doubt they will be willing to change habits. A byproduct of society I'd say. -
I think muting might be good to avoid replying to them even if later they get unmuted.

A perfect good way to teach manners

I have come across broken threads but never realised that it could have been the replies that did so. So if I have ever done it, it was in error and I am sorry!
-
haven never seen you do it AFAIK
