What is the most insane comment you’ve gotten in a peer review? I was told never to discuss effect size (results are either significant or not). However, @Chrismartin76 may have me beat. https://twitter.com/Chrismartin76/status/1029815128894713857 …

If I were the editor I’d have serious words with that reviewer

-
Ironically, AFAIK I have met this guy 3 times, the reviewer. He doesn't remember me between times, he doesn't connect my name to the published paper, and he actually likes me every time.
-
By AFAIK, I mean I am guessing who it was.

By "didn't think" all I mean to say is that had I been Action Editor here I would not send that review to the authors. And had I been PI here I would not send that review to the student on the paper as 2nd authors.

Agree on both counts

.
@Nebula63@o_guest@tcarpenter216@Chrismartin76 As PIs, we've seen that type of shittolio so much we become desensitized. This thread is important reminder that it really is harmful to junior people.
