That’s the thing, it’s programmed to learn only what how and when we want it to, that’s not intelligence. It’s not even artificial. Now, Alexa turning ppls lights off that’s intelligence.
-
Why is Alexa intelligence?
-
Alexa’s intelligence is based on her search parameters and methods set by algorithms constructed by she’s, him’s & they’s.
-
How is that different to any other bog-standard NN?
-
I don’t know what that is.
-
Ah, sorry: NN = Neural network.
-
NN have trillions of data points, for example frontal lobe working in conjunction with hippocampus to process stimuli and turn it into language. Up and down. AI does not have the trillions of connections, they are passing same code down chain to modify less intake up to inform.
-
I agree, but I don't understand why you think Alexa (which is a NN) is closer to "intelligence" than other NNs?

And not artificial. Lol.
-
Sorry, I'm confused. What do you mean? If a CNN can learn because we program it to learn it's not artificial?
-
Artificial is something humans make and program. Intelligence is measuring a sentient beings ability to coordinate space and time. Alexa is closer than finding Waldo, but lacks sentient intelligence because it has artificial data collection methods that are not reality based.
