Hi all, I changed http://compcog.science to include ALL Minorities in Computational Cognitive Science — because the more I think about it the more I worry that other minorities like ethnicity and LGBT are also extremely underrepresented too.
Pls RT to get more names. @chbergma

Just something to think about: If everyone considered a minority is grouped together, would that which is left be considered a minority itself?
-
No because they make up the majority of the field still.

But then you can divide people in other ways like for instance quite or talkitive. Those with allergies, reading problems, sensitive personalities... My point being is that no two people are similar and that trying to categorize a people will always exclude someone somewhere.

Thanks for the input.

Is it basically that you are saying that you don't care about these issues? https://www.npr.org/sections/money/2014/10/21/357629765/when-women-stopped-coding?t=1533235341235 …pic.twitter.com/eHMEEFisWo

Not at all. That's a worrying graph. What might be some of the reasons for women not participating in computer science?

Start with reading that article. And then Google stuff. You'll have an interesting journey and good luck!

Thanks.
