Quick point about neutrality in debates: I was amazed when I realized it’s impossible to draw a neutral world map. You either put Crimea with Russia or Ukraine. You either put Kashmir with India or with Pakistan. Heck, even the spelling can put you on one or the other side. 1/

If it’s impossible to stay neutral (at least for some topics, even some basic ones), the best we can do is to try & acknowledge our own biases and assumptions. If you tell me that you like a certain position because it’s the neutral or objective one, I might give you a side-eye.

Maps like this are very clever rhetorically as they paint us as the goodies who have lost something.
