This is only whoever runs their twitter account, but this action is indicative of an organisation that is deeply flawed and a poor reflection of the larger cognitive science enterprise. It's totally sensible to put your energy elsewhere.

Too much to say on twitter, but just look at the conference. it's a ton of parallel tracks of hit-and-miss quality to suck in sufficient numbers of junior researchers into a pyramid scheme in which they pay tribute to baby boomer club members awarding each other prizes.

Don’t forget: you mostly hear from junior researchers from prestigious departments who also have advisors who know how to play the game

Not even blinding can fix that, sadly. Writing style, trendy/specific research topic/method, actually give away lab allegiance.
