Oh, haha. CogSci Soc's Twitter account unfollowed me after following me for a couple years. Laughed out loud.

I was just at their conference. I guess they unfollowed me during it.

Just another, of many, tiny nudges that I don't belong there. Not that I need membership to a society to be a member of the field, of course. I just won't worry when it's time to renew membership next year.

Understandable. I am a member of my professional society but I haven't been in almost 20 years. I don't find them too useful anymore. But you're developing a good reputation in your field - keep going!

Not sure that is true (yet or generally) — but thank you.

While I'm not in cognitive psych (I need to learn much more about it), I would say your reputation is quite good.

Appreciated but the field is bigger than/not only what you see on Twitter.

I would very very strongly argue that Twitter presence has absolutely nothing to do with the field. Many followers might imply a high position in the field but usually it does not.
