That's nice! I was bullied about my goth appearance in the UK and even more in UK science way more so than in high-school. So much so that for a few years I stopped being a goth.
Difference might be, I'm an immigrant, people hate goths in UK — in Cy everybody is a metal head.
I get dismissed a lot. It's exhausting. Just a few years ago a kid, around 10, pretended to punch me in the street while saying "fuck goths" in Hackney.

I know you don't mean it that way but you often reply when I talk about my experiences with how it's really good where you grew up. It was really good for being alternative where I grew up too. I never received any abuse for being goth.

I think it's been really hard for me with respect to this. I stopped being a goth for about 6 years.
