Agreed. Would you also distinguish between ‘theory’ and ‘theoretical franework’? I tend to think in terms of this progression of specificity: theoretical framework —> theory —> model.

Olivia is the expert here but plainly put, the main difference is that the implementation (code) includes many instructions that are alien to the theory itself and that are required for the program to work.

Does that capture that an implementation might contain like graphs and stuff that are by no means important to the theory or model at all?
