But this, again, is my point - its not b&w, its all on a spectrum. Somewhere there is an action in the grey area that tips the balance one way or the other, because it is ultimately all shades of grey & failing to acknowledge that is what creates rather than resolves division.

And you have beautifully illustrated my point. So answer me: is it ok for a pregnant woman to choose to terminate a pregnancy that would not kill her, based solely on the decision not to have a child with (for instance) Down's Syndrome? Is that not a reasonable question to ask?

Sorry Im just catching up. So your response is... its ok if its the mothers choice but its... not actually ok. At least in the case of Chinese mothers & female children. It's what society has imposed upon them. Fine, no disagreement here. But it doesnt answer my question. At all.
