You believe that everyone is like you, that everyone has the same capacity to elevate themselves out of that rhetoric. That is where I disagree - I believe you are an outlier. Your intelligence & determination are admirable qualities but they also represent a type of privilege.

Being a "good" person requires a certain awareness of traditionally-accepted morals and the nature of the social contract. If you are lacking in the intelligence to form coherent & balanced internal arguments & rely on the missives of a bible, how is it different to Mein Kampf?

But that wasn't even my point. My point was simply that intelligence and the ability to use it in a constructive fashion to do actively good is not something everyone has. That is not to say that you have to be intelligent to be good, far from it.
