Quite the opposite. I dont think *anyone* is inherently good or bad & it solves nothing to consider every torch-bearing US Fascist as 'evil' & shd be punched/killed: the social factors that led them there must be considered. I cannot agree w the dichotomisation of human behaviour

Why is treating them as bad/dangerous mutually exclusive to also addressing the root cause?

Because if you say "that guy wants to kill jews, lets execute him" it doesn't really leave much space to consider the context, does it?

What's the context? And execute might not be needed in every case. But if we are talking about a Nazi (= power plus fascist ideology) then killing is the only way.

BTW the police would also shoot to kill if he tried to kill people. So yeah, we do that now even though you think we don't.

Not to say the police is OK, but our society does tolerate them executing people who are about to kill others.

But there is a difference between shouting "Jews shall not replace us" and actively attacking a Jew in the street, resulting in death by cop. There is a point between those two stages where these people can be saved. It is not a binary switch, as per my mention of

There is a difference but I don't understand what you think that implies? We should invest in stopping people going from shouting to stabbing/shooting, yes. But to say we should elevate the humanity of those involved over those they target is dangerous.

The problem is the system is chaotic and there is no way of knowing who goes from shouting to stabbing. So let's prioritise the victims.

Im not denying that. I have said absolutely: protect the subjects of (eg) a march. Do not allow Orangemen to march in Catholic quarters. But equally dont stop them from marching anywhere. Laurelai's solution to FR marches is to kill them & yet I'm the one being pilloried here.
