And no, I am not shutting up anyone, I am not preventing you for saying whatever you want in you own profiles and trust me I will not go there to twist the meaning of your comments, to criticise them, and/or to insist in stating my points.

See the difference? That is precisely trying to shut someone up. People need to learn, with emphasis in men, that freedom to say what you want does not imply that you can impose your comments/will to someone. You can talk but I don't have to listen.

Esther is frustrated here because of the way this has unfolded. Social media is tough but no reason to treat her this way.

The only thing I've learnt here is that there are no rules except Jack Dorsey's. And asking people to respect your made-up rules is about as productive as herding cats

The argument there are no rules applies just as much to offline life as it does to Twitter. "Feel free" to abuse people, or whatever you imply by saying "there are no rules", on- and off-line but you will probably get what's coming (= get told off).

Just because it's possible to behave very badly doesn't mean there are no rules.
