That hardly follows; social constructions can be clearly defined and perfectly real I get the invalidation point; what I’m thinking is that there is more than one way to frame that experience and one of the rad fem critiques is that the current framing isn’t the best one

That being said; I’m not a trans person nor am I trying to frame and verbalise my experience as one so I don’t have a clear sense of whether the gender framing is good or not. I will believe people with more skin in the game, obviously.

What I’m now curious about, now I think I see some of the shape of the argument, is whether there’s a way to articulate the rad fem reframing in a way that people might try out to see if they’re right. I’ll admit they are not communicating past the obvious triggering language

It must suck for you though. There’s so much obvious overlap that being allies on this seems like a no brainer. And yet...

Everyone seems have flipped straight into ‘defending my territory’ mode though, and no one gets through that and onto ‘ok given that how do we work together’.

I'm not defensive at least not of any territory or ideology (e.g., I don't mind an identity vs a social framing per se). I'm proactively protecting my trans siblings from rhetoric that in the present & historically is/was used for murder. Transmisia is inherently racist as well.

And that bigger picture definitely means arguing about word meanings might easily miss the real point here. So yeah, I agree with you on this!

TERFs know exactly what cis means, so it's not about meanings.... they just really hate trans people.
