Solidarity! We can do it and if we don't, it's not the end of my life... well, this is my current attitude.

I had a breakdown at the end of my second year. I'm now at the end of my third and things very much looking up. For me, the most important change was starting to properly look after myself. You both will definitely smash it!

Yes, self care is so important. I don't want to talk about my case as I was being domestically abused for most of my phd but needless to say I'm not the only one.

No words can capture how horrible that would have been but keep being the inspirational person that you are. I feel privileged to know you, both Olivia and Maria. Love and solidarity

I had a lot of therapy and help since then. It's been about 4 years and I'm generally "back to normal" in many respects and in others actually a better person (given my own metrics). I've said this before but the hardest thing is deciding to change.

The NHS and Mind helped me so much. I was extra lucky to have a compaasionaand understanding black man first generation immigrant (last bit like me) assigned as my CBT therapist too. I needed to be away from white British people more than I needed to be away from men.
